NOTICE OF THE PREPARATION OF THE DRAFT
COUNTY LEITRIM DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION SCHEME 2016 – 2019
Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council, being the Planning Authority for County Leitrim, has prepared the Draft County Leitrim Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2019, in accordance with the provisions of Section 48 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 to 2015.
The Draft Scheme proposes the following contributions
| Development Category | Contribution |
| Houses (Urban & Rural) | €18.50 per m2- minimum payment of €4,000 |
| Extensions | €18.50 per m2 >40 m2 |
| Commercial Development | €25.50 per m2 |
| | Retail / Commercial < 200 m2 - €20 per m2 |
| Hotels, Guest Houses, B&Bs, Nursing Homes, etc. | €25.50 per m2 |
| Hospitals, Schools, Social and Education | €25.50 per m2 |
| Wind farm Developments | €6,000 per MW subject to minimum of €15,000 per turbine |
| Extractive Industries | €1.30 per m2 of site area for extraction (per bench) |
| Agriculture | €2.50 per m2>400 m2 <1,000 m2 |
| | €5 per m2 >1,000 m2 |
| Car Parking Shortfall | €3,000 per space |
The Draft Scheme will be available for inspection during normal working hours from 13th July 2016 to 31stAugust 2016 both dates inclusive, at the following locations:
· Planning Department, Leitrim County Council, Áras an Chontae, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim
· Ballinamore Library, Main Street, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim
· Manorhamilton Library, Library Corner, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim

Submissions or observations in respect of the Draft County Leitrim Development Contribution Scheme 2016 - 2019 may be made in writing to the Senior Planner, Planning Department, Leitrim County Council, Áras an Chontae, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim 4N1 PF67 or by email to planning@leitrimcoco.ie. Submissions must reach the Planning Authority before 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 31st August 2016. Submissions made via email must include the full name and address of the person making the submission and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.
